Hello, we are hosting the Robotics & Edge Inference conference in downtown Austin on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. It will be a gathering with lots of researchers, start-ups, and robot prototypes. Currently at 315 signups, should be a cool event!
We’d love to feature makers or developers during our robot showcase who are working with Jetson, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or ESP32 based robotics / computer vision / edge compute projects. The demos will be held from 12:00PM to 2:30PM.
Since joining Asmbly, I’ve met a lot of people here doing really cool projects, so I thought I’d reach out to the community in case there is interest to demo your work!
There are limited spots, so if this of interest to anyone please reach out to me soon at pytorchatx@gmail.com
In short, We are hosting a series of workshops and SIGs to build small, affordable and fun fighting robots to be part of the Weaponized Plastic Fighting League. The robot base we will be building is called Rotato, (Name subject to change in case anyone comes up with a better idea) and it uses an ESP32 as the main controller, as opposed to typical Battlebots that are really expensive and dangerous RC cars. The design is inspired by my usual fighter called Democratic Robot… instead of someone driving it a crowd can vote to decide how the robot moves (It’s not a great fighter, but it definitely has the right spirit)
Would something like that fit what you are looking for? If so, I’d love to get in touch and see how we can participate
