I will be building 3 copies of this simple plant stand Sunday May 18, 1-330PM. I invite you to build one along side me or just watch. This is an informal, unofficial gathering.
What will we do specifically?
Cut raw material to appropriate lengths on the miter saw
Mill material to desired thickness on the joiner and planer
Rip material to width on the table saw
Cross cut to height on the table saw
Add a bit of fanciness using the taper leg jig
Round over the edge on the router table
Is this a class?
No. I don’t have a syllabus or notes. Im just planning to build a thing and talk through the steps. You might learn something but I cant make any promises.
What should I bring?
if you want to build one too, bring some wood that is at least an inch thick and 2 inches wide. 8 feet will be plenty. I will be using some spruce 2X6 from the home center for 6$. I plan to paint mine. I will certainly have a bit of 2X6 left over to share. Measure the pot that you want to use.
If you want to watch, just bring yourself.
Do I need to be a member?
Yes. This is not an official asmbly event. Its an informal gathering of members.
Do i need to RSVP?
No. I will be there either way.
Normal shop rules apply. Book some time in skeda if you plan to build along side me.
