Apologies for the short notice! We will be in the ceramics area this Sunday 10/19 from 3–6pm to kick off our Bowlathon glazing session. We will start by making sure all bowls are stamped with the AEBP mark, waxed, and prepped for glaze. If we don’t finish all of the bowls, we will add a second session to follow.
The 10/19 glazing session was a great success! We managed to glaze about 80% of the bowls.
We will hold a final glazing session on Sunday 10/26 to finish up the rest.
If you’ve got bowls you’d like to donate, let us know! We even have a bit of Cinco Rojo left if anyone wants to throw a couple more to get into the mix.
If you donate or make something, please follow the Bowl-Making Guidelines posted in the ceramics studio.
Huge shoutout to our kiln firing team who bisque fired 120+ bowls over the last two weeks in addition to continuing firings for member pieces, and are now in the process of glaze firing all of these bowls! None of this would be possible without them.
Glazeathon Wrap-Up: Thank You!
We did it! The Glazeathon is officially complete, and the Bowlathon is one step closer to the finish line. Thanks to everyone who joined in today, we finished up the last of the bowls and gave a few a second pass in hopes they’ll make it back into the mix.
Extra appreciation to Chase, Maxine, and Dashiell for their help tonight. Everyone’s support keeps this community strong!
