Beginner question - how to cut plywood?

Beginner woodworker here. I have a 4’ x 8’ piece of plywood I want to cut into 2 2’ x 2’ pieces as well as a couple 3” x 12” strips. Is the table saw the best equipment to do this? Or is something else recommended? Thanks in advance!

If you’ve taken specialty tools, I’d recommend the track saw

As a bit of a follow up. How precise do you need the pieces to be?

It seems you have some material to spare, so I would recommend rough cutting it using the panel saw, then you would have manageable pieces (4’ by a little over 2’) that you can cut precisely on the table saw.

Haven’t taken specialty tools yet but I don’t need the cuts to be very precise. I’m building a cat tree so all the pieces will be covered in carpet!

I was wrong on the size, plywood piece is 2’ x 4’ so a bit more manageable. Still recommend the panel saw? Or just go ahead with the table saw?

If it’s 1/2" or thinner, I say go for it on the table saw. If it’s 3/4" I suggest getting somebody to help you maneuver it on the table saw. Of course, that is assuming you are of average strength and reach.
