Saw this a while ago and just re-discovered it: an awesome, compact stepper driver board with USB-C PD and ESP32. Not cheap, but it packs a lot of cool stuff on there, and looks like it’s produced by a solo maker!
I don’t do much with steppers (yet) but kind of looking for an excuse to pick one up…
John, Have you ever seen the opposite of this stepper driver, that is, a stepper receiver that would plug into the outputs of a stepper driver. I want to connect to the rotary plug on the Laguna Swift controller, receive the signals, and process them with an ESP32.
I’m not aware of something like that. I think the output of the drivers will be high voltage meant to go right to the coils of the stepper motor. If you wanted to process signals before they make it to the driver, you’d probably be looking at hooking up to something in the controller cabinet, possibly at the GCode level right off the controller.
