Hi everyone – I’ll be demonstrating how to wet form leather!
It’s a very simple and accessible process, and once you’ve seen how it’s done you’ll have a bunch of potential applications come to mind. I’ll be showing you how to make the trays shown in the pictures below, but the method is versatile and easily applicable to many other kinds of projects.
We’ll discuss best design practices, mold-making techniques (I promise it’s simpler than you might think), how to choose the right leather, and the forming process itself. I’ll also show you a few finishing steps that can add a little extra something to your final result.
