With our recent expansion adding 5,333 sqft, there’s more space to manage than ever — and we’re excited to welcome @michellewilson as our second Facilities Coordinator!
Michelle is no stranger to shop management, having worked in the UT School of Architecture & Design shops to maintain tools and help students complete their projects safely and effectively. She’s already been hands-on at Asmbly, diving into woodshop tool maintenance and repairs alongside @Rolo. If you’ve met her, you know she’s naturally curious, always asking great questions, and quick to problem-solve — exactly the kind of person you want keeping things running smoothly.
Beyond her facilities work, Michelle recently launched her own woodworking business and spends a lot of time in the shop, making this part-time role a natural fit. You’ll likely see her around working on projects, keeping equipment in top shape, and making sure everything stays in great condition for the community.
Next time you see Michelle, be sure to say hi and give her a warm welcome!
Just like the rest of our staff, Michelle will sometimes be at the shop working as Facilities Coordinator and other times as a member working on her own projects. You’re always welcome to say hi to her — just like any other member — regardless of what mode she is in, but if you need help on something extensive while she is at the shop as a member, ask when/how you can sync with her while she is on the clock. We want to be sure she has time at the space to pursue her own creative endeavors as well!
