Made this accent wall in the entryway. Took a while to apply the masking tapes but it came out quite good I believe.
These are the steps.
I am missing a step where I painted the wall the same color as the background (in this case night blooming Jasmin) after putting the masking tapes. This makes the background color seep into the edges of the tape and seal it. This step prevents color bleed when applying the foreground colors.
