Last night, we had a team of 8 volunteers helping and we got A LOT done:
- we cleaned the proverbial clay traps: They are actually a lot less scary than they sound. The good news is that we now have quite a team of people that knows what to do (and what not)
- We washed aprons in the Washing Tree
- We disassembled the recycling station and cleaned the area
- We did a last round of clay recycling by putting the wet clay to dry on the hardy boards
- We cut to size the last pegboards, which means they are ready to hang at the tools stations
- We underglazed some of the new test tiles
- We cleaned all the tables and reorganized wood boards
- We washed the throwing wheels tables - which was just in time because today we’ve received the new two wheels, and we now have 8 of them!
- We did a thorough cleaning of floors and put things in their respective places
I personally came out of it exhausted, but energized!
It’s cool to work as a team because we get a lot done and talking and laughing makes the work feel lighter.
