❗ A Serious Reminder About Emergency Communications

I want to address a recent incident involving a message left in a booking request that read, “Help me please if you’re reading this call 911.” Several members, rightfully concerned, took the message seriously and called 911. This turned out to be a joke, but it’s important to understand that this kind of message is not only inappropriate—it’s also a crime. False emergency reports can lead to significant consequences, including criminal charges, and they take valuable resources away from people in real need of help.

I want to commend those who acted quickly and responsibly by notifying the authorities. Your actions demonstrate the care and responsibility that make Asmbly a supportive and safe community.

To everyone: Messages like this should only ever be used in cases of actual, urgent emergencies. Any misuse not only puts lives at risk but also damages the trust and reliability we need to maintain in emergency situations.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued commitment to making Asmbly a safe space for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns about this issue, please feel free to reach out.
