Interesting and beautiful exhibit on a few wood species

and we exhibit it every year during Design in Wood.

Hamilton Dilbeck just posted this last week as part of his Maketember series, I thought it was interesting and along the same lines…
I hate or maybe love to admit that a room in my house has bigger samples of probably over half of the species on that board. Some of those are not exactly used in furniture. I’m attracted to maple so in that one I have all the iterations (curly/tiger, quilted/flaming, ambrosia/spalted, birds eye, japanese, and some boards with a mix of all). Only 30 years of collecting from all over.
