I just read a post on Hacker News, where the author is fed up with cheap toasters, and wants to make a high-quality one in the USA -

Perhaps someone at ASMBLY could chime in and help him out!

The comments are a good read - many solid ideas to build the ultimate open-source dream toaster!

I do believe in traditions - sometimes - and the native Americans got it right. Who needs toast when you could have fry bread?
