3D Printed breadboards?

I often use bigger dev boards in my projects that don’t fit well in the standard breadboards (which seem like they were designed in the TTL era). This suggests 3D printing your own layout and inserting contacts. Has anyone tried this?

Might not be your exact dimensions, but you can use adapter PCBs for this:

It’s pretty trivial to make a custom PCB to do this too. But I really only use them to make the width wider, not narrower. When too wide you can still plug them in and route wires under. Most the time I do that or straddle a power bus.

Never occurred to me to try but it seems like a thing people are doing. Wonder why they don’t just make breadboards in more sizes.
