Resolved.
I just installed the Grit trigger on this and it seems to operate just a bit differently in the configuration than the rest of the triggers.
Though the user pattern is the same. If you see a Red light on the grit trigger box, it is locked out. If you see a Green light, it is good to go!
On the admin side it has a “Turn On” button to lock / unlock which was a bit misleading.
The lockouts will not be used unless the tool is down and there’s a red tag on it. Outside of that, the bigger motivation for using the Grit system is to get a data driven idea of how much our tools are being used and triggering certain maintenance cycles. For example, if the DC is running for 200 hours (roughly 5 weeks of regular CNC time), then it’s about time to take that filter down and clean it thoroughly.
I think this is still broken - there’s a green light on the Grit controller, but no light on the Grizzly motor, and there’s no suction coming through near the CNC bit. Not sure whether there’s anything else I’m supposed to do from the user side in order to activate it.
You’re not alone. Another member and I didn’t notice the keychain either, and they ended up holding on to a separate vacuum until Frank helped us too. It would be easier if there were a guide or label to help make it more noticeable.
Last time I made a guide for the CNC it lasted about 2 minutes before it ended up disappearing and covered in dust. If someone would be alright helping to make sure it won’t disappear we can put another one together.
The remote is also attached to the key used to turn the CNC on. Do every time the CNC is turned on and off, the key is right there.
The range isn’t great on the grizzly remote so you may have to walk a few feet closer with it.
