@valerie, Thank you for the order. After further review, I think I’d change the 1x2 to 1x3. If you don’t mind I’ll buy and donate them to ASMBLY. As for weight I’ve got to do some further testing here, but a quick pencil calculation says that each filament should hold just over 25 lbs. And I’ll need a volunteer too to help hold things for about an hour to mount the rail.
P.S. My current 2x2 is 8 lbs. 7 oz. as an example.
P.P.S. If more weight needs to be supported then two separate filaments could be used.
I just checked the routing and it says it was delivered directly to someone on site. Should hopefully be in Textiles under the table with the heat press on it.
Got the package! Michael helped me find them under the table. I bought two 1x3x8, and put the T-Slots on them. Both are in the MPR with a “Hold” note with my name on them. Tomorrow, if @David is there in the afternoon and if we can find ladders we’ll attempt to mount them. Also I have a sample picture to try the hanging ‘hardware’. P.S. If there is some leftover wall paint I could make them match the walls, otherwise they’ll just be natural wood (the classic maker patina).
The picture hanging system is now ready for hanging the 2x2 challenge project. I have left 10 cut filaments, 9’ long, for hanging the 10 entries. Two filaments are already hanging with their t-slot adapters (tops) and hooks (bottom). The right one has a pseudo 2x2 as an example. The left one has some clamps to hold it down and the rest of the filaments taped to it along with a small plastic bag filled with adapters and hooks. Not all adapters and hooks have their 3x5mm set screws. I will getting more set screws shortly to complete the project. Until then here as some more pictures of the installation.
