Bert and Ernie, the smaller of the three lathes have had some incredible amount of damage done to the tail stocks.
I don’t think this is one single use that caused it, it was likely due to some misuse and abuse over a period of time. There are not many people who use these two lathes. For anyone watching this who has checked these out, if you have any questions or concerns about how to operate the tail stock, then please ask here or anywhere else. @phurfphurf and I are happy to help ensure proper usage.
At this point, we have spent more than half the value on repairs for each of these machines. JD and I are in talks about how to proceed. In the meantime, the two machines are down and we are working on an alternative to keep folks up.
