This is often due to excessive force being applied to the lock.

You only need to tighten the lock with a thumb and a finger. When you rotate it clockwise and feel it “pop” into a position, it will be locked.

There will still be some wiggle. Don’t worry, and don’t try to push it further. All that does is creep the indicator out of alignment and wear out the actual lock.
