Check the brake cartridge. After changing the blade it might be making contact with the cartridge. I think that’s what the blinking red light means—check the diagram on the label.

If it is a flashing red light, first take out cartridge and inspect make sure there is no dust inside the housing and that it has not been activated. Re-instal cartridge, make sure is seated properly. Check the gap between the blade and cartridge. If the flashing light persist, you need to pull the extended trouble codes. The bypass key is hanging in the middle locker inside the stewards closet (small gold key). Here is the link to the video:

Somebody mentioned that the blade was making contact with the cartridge. THAT IS INCORRECT, when the blade contacts the cartridge, it activates as soon as you turn on the power.

This is all great advice for troubleshooting the saw.

This specific issue was caused by the break cartridge being installed incorrectly. The locking pin was not in the locked position. There is a specific light pattern for this (slow blinking red) that reads “turn the cartridge key to on”
Resolved.

I’m glad someone took the time. The saw stop is rather easy to solve simple hiccups if you know how to read the blinking lights. Basically if you take out the cartridge, check to make sure there is no saw dust inside, wich it does happen(the cartridge will still work with little sawdust in it), re-install the cartridge correctly, check the gap using the tip of the yellow triangle plastic thingmagalic on side of the table saw, you would take care if one third of the codes on the chart. Interestingly enough those are the most common faults. Usually happens when someone changes the blade or they go from dado stack to regular blade. It also happens when the cartridge has been activated and a new one is installed, many times when installed the new cartridge does not seat correctly unless you give it a light tap. Anyway, more and more people are getting familiar with all these functions and taking the corrective action necessary. Keep making dust!
