17 days of wood turning progress post

I took David’s turning classes and I caught the bowl class just as I was taking vacation. I think I spent at least every day in the shop, sometimes I would visit twice a day late at night. Vacation is ending this week and I wanted to post progress shots.

There are a lot of different types in here.

Bonus: I tried using resin and construction paper. It failed and looked like I tried to murder a clown.

Whoa :star_struck: I’ve been turning for years and don’t think I’ve made that many pieces altogether!

They look fantastic, tragic clown accidents or not.

Thanks Shane. That’s my second resin bowl. What a mess they make.

Here is a before picture of that resin bowl and another new one, a walnut bowl

That looks great! Did you use the pressure pot for the resin?

Hey, thank you.

I have one at home that I used.

The first resin bowl I did, I did not use the pressure pot and I got lots of air bubbles. Not in the resin directly, it seemed to be around the wood in the resin

I want to get to the larger hollow forms that you see on YouTube on channels like Sprague woodworking.
