To the person who reported this can you please elaborate?

Any updates on the status of the resaw bandsaw?

Kyle, I have reached out to the other stewards to find out what the status is. The problem report had not been updated. I know that several people have looked into it but can’t find a report on the outcome.

Ok. It looks like another report has come through that reported a squealing sound and the blade stopping and not turning back on. Will up date you here if I get any info

Apparently it was working at 10 PM last night. I plan to go by the space later this morning and I will check then

Ok great, thanks for checking. That sort of matches my experience Saturday where it ran for my first cut but would not power back up for the second. For me it did not stop in the middle of running. For the first cut the saw was on for just a minute or two.

Ok. A couple of people looked at it last night. The current status is working but the suspicion is that there may be some worn parts that might cause problems in the future. The saw is operational now and the red tag has been resolved for the time being.

The bandsaw was in use yesterday and this morning. It was mildly tuned up by a few folks.

I believe it is functional, though not without some wear on it.

I have a tech support request in on new parts for the brake and also for any additional troubleshooting steps on the intermittent power issue that some folks have seen. It happened to me once as well in the past. It isn’t constant.

Until then, for everyone, please use the bandsaw well. Have the blade guard at the right height to not only protect yourself but to keep the bearings functioning correctly. Let the blade do the cutting, don’t push material through and stress it.
