This is a common symptom of a printer that requires further adjustment of belt tension. :man_health_worker:

I adjusted the Y belt on Hermes on Saturday and got clean cylinders. If it’s not holding its tension, perhaps the belt needs to be replaced?

I’m thinking the same too. I think we’ve already adjusted the belt at least three times since November’s volunteer day.

I’ve ordered some replacement belt material. @JakeS, if you’re still around, would you mind putting a physical red tag on Hermes? There are some on the front of the big enclosure.

@aneel added a red tags to Hermes and Apollo.

I replaced the belt on Hermes and it didn’t fix the problem. We’re going to have to do some deeper debugging.

@flowmage and @Kenneth successfully identified the issue remotely (the grub screw on the Y-axis shaft had come loose), and @ewei fixed the problem. Hermes should be back in business.
