A limit switch was triggered .
The Sanding belt is either to far left or right
Or
The cylinder isn’t engaged that keeps the belt tight
Or
It’s not getting air .
I moved the sanding belt left and right. The air is on. Both switches right and left are not engaged. Belt is tight. Still the deck and belt do not move.
A limit switch is triggered somewhere. There are 2 on each side of the sanding belt, another on the right hand side of the machine just under the belt and another on the back (but that has never come into play).
It can also be triggered by the emergency stop bar in front being depressed or the emergency stop button on the control pad still pushed in and locked.
If it wasn’t moving before you used it -(meaning it didn’t stop while you were using it ) the last person on the machine either didn’t report something or used the emergency stop and didn’t reset it .
I was helping Sarah and went to use the sander. It wasn’t working. I read tagged and reported it. I also tried your suggestions. It still wasn’t working.
I checked the emergency stop, but I never checked it after I adjusted the sanding belt. That could be the problem
