This wasn’t as hard to repair as I initially feared. Many parts were pushed out of proper alignment but not damaged. But the box containing the actual stop actuators was very slightly but permanently skewed, preventing the stop buttons from moving properly. Openings into the box had to be filed to remove the distortion and allow free movement of the buttons.

Someone has finished work on this and called it done.
