Additional Info: The probe is not working, the machine shows “unable to move probe while probe active verify settings and that the probe is plugged in” the probe itself seems to be working though. Seems like an issue with the Tormach not the probe

The probe settings are probably not correct. Go to the settings tab, I think “Accessory Input” should be set to “Digitizing Probe” IIRC. Otherwise try setting the opposite way.

Confirming that the probe is fine/functional. It was set as passive and needs to be set as active. I changed the setting, and ran a few probing routines without issue. There is never a reason I can think of to change this setting.
