Additional Info: Fire extinguisher used due to fire at internals of table saw. Plastic piece below blade is warped which could lead to dust collection issues and possible fire.

I cleaned out and inspected the saw. It mostly seems fine but there is one part that consurns me.

The wires to the saw stop attachment definitely saw some heat. they did not melt fully. We might want to consider replacement. Pic 1
The saw stop break is certainly ruined. Pic 2. I red taged it and left it inside the saw cabinet door so it doesn’t get installed other one.

The belts, saw stop connector, and other internals look fine to me.

SawStop sells a cable replacement kit if needed.
I’d think if it didn’t get hot enough to melt the insulation off , then continuity would not be an issue… Once the new brake is installed a check for any error codes and checking cosuctrivity with the power on but blade off .

Someone has finished work on this and called it done.

Jose spent about 5-6 hours on this saw today!

It is back up and running.

After his run he recommends the belt’s both be replaced. They seem a bit worn.

He tested it a bit and made sure no fault codes were being thrown. As of now, things are looking good.

There’s no need for a yellow tag at the moment, I’ll just ask to look out for any “faulty” fault codes in the near future.

A fresh break and blade are installed.

I think you misunderstood one thing. One belt was actually damaged and the other was worn, so he went ahead and replaced both of them (with a bit of assistance from me). He was probably recommending you order spares immediately.
