Thank you for reporting it and helping us keep track of what needs attention.

All communication between iVac Pro and Laguna DC seems to fail. iVac won’t turn DC on or off, you need to use the buttons on the Laguna.

There’s a little remote hanging velcroed to the ivac box, is it plugged in to the ivac? Is the ivac box itself plugged in? Just giving some simple things to check. I’ll try to come in this week to debug it.

The iVac is plugged in and the green light is blinking as expected. I checked the wires and there was nothing obviously unplugged, disconnected, or frayed. The remote looking thing was there, I didn’t know what it was so I didn’t look into that piece.

I left a note that, for now, folks should use the Laguna buttons. Hopefully people realize it’s not kicking on by itself.

I didn’t use anything connected to the dust collector, I only investigated because no one else was using a machine connected to it and the dust collector was running for a long period unnecessarily and annoying me with all the noise.

This should be resolved now. I found that the little ivac remote batteries were low. The LED would light but it wouldn’t control the collector. I put new batteries in, and it seems to be working now.

What’s the role of that little remote in the larger system? Can it be wired to not be reliant on batteries?

The little remote on the side is just a programable remote, that controls the DC just like the factory laguna remote. That little remote also has wire with a 3.5mm jack which can be used to trigger the on/off buttons.

The yellow box is what listens to all the iVac sensors. When the yellows box wants to turn the DC on or off, it sends a signal over that 3.5mm jack.

I’m sure one could certainly rig a power supply. It uses 6v (2x CR2016).
