Was the spindle replaced, if so is the old spindle still around? Having one spindle for grid probing and one for cutting could be a mild quality of life improvement

I’m out of town until Friday night, so I don’t know if the new spindle is here. We’ll definitely keep the old one from probing. It will be really convenient to not have to swap bits for every time we probe. In my case, I usually probe with the bit I’m cutting with, which not ideal.

I found the new spindle and replaced it last night; it powers on, though I didn’t have a chance to cut anything.

Old spindle is in the back of the cabinet for now, I agree it’s good to at least keep around for probing if we can’t get it working again.

New spindle needs a label to remind about collet size; old spindle needs to be labeled as broken/probe only for now.

Will do Julie. Thanks for doing that. I’m out of town but will be back and at Asmbly Saturday morning.
