The settling side of the tank if probably a bit overloaded. We need a screen on the drain hole in the trough. I will see if we get some 18 ga stainless screen material.
I put in a request to buy the link above. It doesn’t need to be super fine. It needs to stop larger chips. I worry the smaller screen size will clog too quickly thus reducing flow rate of the coolant. The amazon screen is similar to what Jet does on their bandsaw.
I have thought about doing some fancy stuff. Such as having drain off one side of the trough. DoAll does a really fast drain to a multiple screen filter system. Basically it is chute under the cutting area of the saw. The reservoir is at the back of the saw under the pivot point.
The support piston has also been refilled with hydraulic fluid and should work correctly now. Please remember to leave the saw fully lowered when you are done using it.
