What is the function of a Woodshop Lead when booked in Skedda, are they the same as Steward on Duty? I want to use the dado stack but I’m not totally comfortable setting it up by myself just yet, if I book time in the woodshop when a lead is on the schedule is this something they could help with?
@Gem or @Glory2God might be here during that slot and may be able to assist.
@JasonSoll will be booking office hours and labeled as “Woodshop Office Hours” and is exactly intended for your questions.
I’ll offer up that if you’re here when i’m onsite, feel free to ask to ensure you’re comfortable with your setup
Here are more details on Office Hours: Woodshop Office Hours
Thanks @Rolo! I did see the Woodshop Office Hours and planned to go yesterday but life got in the way. I also noticed it’s really busy in the woodshop on the weekends and hard to get a spot in skedda if you don’t book in advance. I actually prefer weekday daytime as it’s less crowded so if the Woodshop lead is there on weekdays and also functions as a Steward on Duty I’d def utilize them
@Bees
Hi, My name is Gem Kosan, and I am co-lead steward for general Woodshop matters. Michael Doto is the other co-lead. This booking means we will be present and working on Woodshop improvement projects. While not the same as office hours, we are always happy to help out members in any way we can!
Great, thank you!
Hi Chanda,
as it’s already been pointed out, there is a definite difference between the Wood Shop Leads Gem & myself, and the office hours.
As Gem pointed out, whenever you a Skedda booking under the Wood Shop Lead, either me, Gem or both of us are working and ready to assist anyone and everyone.
I’m also willing to schedule a time to meet up and help, Send me a DM and we can coordinate a timeline or engage in a conversation about your project.
Thanks, @Glory2God I’ve booked woodshop time tomorrow from 11:30-2:30pm and will ask one of you to double check my work when I’m ready to set up the dado stack ![]()
Sounds good…
