Hello - wondering if this bit will work in the CNC router. It’s a much smaller length than the other bit I have.
It will- but straight flute is usually less desirable than either the downcut or the upcut.
Just get your stuff from SparkTech (drillman1, CarbidePlus) in Georgetown

Yes well it’s much thinner. Longer cutting surface further from the support will increase chance of breakage.
For bits <1/8", there is commonly a soft limit of the length being 3x the cutting dia. More commonly 2x.
Longer cutting lengths do exist and it is possible to machine with them to greater depths with careful and slow cutting with excellent chip removal, but they’re a niche item because they’re so easy to break that most machining tasks instead look for another solution that does not require a cut deeper than 1/8" with a 1/16" dia bit (2x).
