I’m planning on tearing down the spindle sander Wednesday evening to determine what parts we need. If you want to see the guts, provide entertainment, or just moral support, feel free to come by ![]()

FYI the spindle sander has a gear box that is somewhat full of gear oil. You should be fine as long as you don’t tip it over. If you have to drain the oil there is a drain valve on the left side under the oil level sight glass. You have to open the rear door to gain access. If you do drain it, have on hand 2 Qts. 90 wt. gear oil. Don’t forget to refill it before starting the machine. If you do, more than likely you will mess up some gears. Also, there maybe a left handed thread on a shaft or bolt. I know Jet models have it, not sure if Delta followed the trend. Not an easy job you’re taking on. Good luck!
