Searching for connections

Hi yall! I’ve been searching for potential customers that’d want custom tables like the one i built, and identified a few. But I’ve realized that my only way of contacting them is through cold calls.

So if any of yall in this amazing community have connections that might be interested in a unique gaming table or furniture in my style (tayloredtables.com) i’d be super grateful if you could help us get in contact. I’d even be willing to craft you a custom wood dice set for helping me find a customer

Potential customers i’ve been looking into.

  • Housing developments wanting to furnish their model home
  • Furniture rental companies
  • Apartment complexes looking to enhance their common space with a gaming table or something.

Of course if you or someone you know wants something commissioned, thats perfectly fine too.

Oh the joys of networking! Glad we’ve got a nice wide net here to hopefully help you out.

I wonder if any of the local board game bars would be good partners for this? Most the things you see at Vigilante were made at Asmbly during the ATXHS days. One of the last times I was in there, I was chatting with one of the staff about our relationship and they were talking about wanting help with the electronics on their bat call buttons. I gave them my email to connect more on it and see if our community could help, but I haven’t heard from them yet.

There’s also Emerald Tavern, Dragon’s Lair, and Tiny Minotaur. I actually haven’t been to those ones yet, but they could be good to connect with as well.

Also, @JCicolani runs Chupacabracon which is a big tabletop gaming convention in San Marcos coming up at the end of May. I would imagine conventions like that are an excellent opportunity to reach a large audience to show off a product like this.

I actually had a plan for board game stores/bars. I was going to make wood dice sets and see if they wanted to sell them. I saw at tanuki games there was a wood dice set for 180, but it was just resin with small wood chips in it. I can make much better stuff. This way i could get my foot in the door with a smaller item, and then see if they wanted tables made.
But I’ve been putting off buying the tools i need since im broke right now. Bit of a catch 22. Need to sell a table to afford making dice to advertise my tables. I just dont think my chances are high of approaching those places out of the blue and having them commission a table.

For the same reason i cant do an conventions right now. Just dont have the money.

Actually i think im just going to sell some things and buy stuff so i can start making the dice. I wasnt financially stable when i started making the table either, so why wait for the dice.
I didnt know asmbly had had connections with Vigilante. Thats so cool! I’d also not heard about tiny minotaur until now. That would be a really good place to market to. Thanks for pointing them out!
