There was a recent question about how the stop function works on the drill press in the wood shop. @berkeleyB checked it out today to make sure it was in good working order and here’s the steps!
These steps are also detailed in the manual on the wiki
- Loosen the locking lever.
- Zero the lock to the top of the work piece with the black numbered dial.
- Using the drill press feed wheel, lower the bit to the desired depth and hold in place.
- Rotate and tighten the silver locking dial until it stops. Do not monkey twist this.
- Tighten the locking lever.
