What is the maximum material height for our CNC? Would a 7 inch piece fit underneath with room to run the bit?
Depending on the current height of the spoil board, I believe the max height is around 7.5". If the bit will chuck up high enough, I think you’d be ok with a 7 in piece.
That’s a lot! I think that’s just past the limit of the current config.
How deep do you need to cut? For example, if you needed to cut a 1" pocket into the top of this, then the bit would have to stick out >1" from the nut. So the required clearance from nut to table for such a case might be 7"+1"+0.5" additional clearances, which would not fit within current clearances.
