Fusion 360: how do i simplify my toolpaths?

Calling all fusion 360 people, and vcarve too since I’ve had the same happen there

is there any way to re-order each individual cut within a series of cuts on toolpaths?

example:

I have a series of shapes being cut out, and the software puts them in this real stupid order, lots of needless time moving the spindle around without actually doing anything

this one isn’t really that bad, but a grid of holes I ran thru vcarve was a lot sillier

edit - turns out I found a solution:
check preserve order and re-select your contours in whatever order you want. where you click to select will be the initial entry point

So that’s what preserve order does, thanks for the info.

Got to it before I could reply! Nice work!

for simple stuff like this you could also create a new path for each one and you can drag them to whatever order in the layers, but i was feeling lazy
