Free "Bandsaw Best Practices and Maintenance" Classes This Friday and Saturday

Our Facilities Coordinator, @Rolo, is offering two upcoming classes focused on best practices for using the bandsaw. These tools see a lot of use (and sometimes abuse), so if you work with them, this is a great opportunity to learn about bandsaws in general and the quirks of our bandsaws in particular—completely free!

Classes are this Friday and Saturday! Register on our Classes page.

What You’ll Learn:

How to effectively use the bandsaws and see what different sized blades can do. Then we’ll jump into regular upkeep tasks that can help you get back to work quickly when common issues arise like: blade cleaning and changes, spotting and fixing issues.

Heck yeah! That’s awesome. i’m glad you posted this photo.

It was a great class. It ran quick, it ran a bit over scheduled time, but I had fun and I’m glad y’all did too.

We talked a lot about common issues with the bandsaw, what different cuts feel and sound like, and more to help effective and safe use of the tool; for the tool and the maker! The best part… I didn’t demo this project due to time constraints, but Natanael ran with the information right away and made this safely and quickly!
@mikeyhuff that’s the stuff that inspires me.
