Last month, some folks from the Decibel program at Austin PBS came to several events at Asmbly to film and spend some time talking with us for a short story they did on what we bring to the greater Austin community. Yesterday, they aired the story! It turned out really great and captured a lot of people in the community including a project @RebekahWilson has been working on for the students she teaches.
Many people I talk to don’t realize I’m a volunteer and dues paying member. If you don’t know me or why it is I do what I do here at Asmbly leading this organization for close to 5 years now, this gives a little view into that. I’m really proud of what we’ve built here together and the transformation this space has made. Cheers to all of us and our shared passion for creating and learning
Yes, great idea @rjnevels! I think there may be a couple things I need to add to that page (I believe @AJStow got interviewed again at TWF this year). I’ll get that updated over the next week.
Yes @Allzman we were sure to highlight it a few times in our social media We’re planning to do Giving Tuesday this year and that might be another good time to highlight it again while encouraging donations. It’ll be a really nice video to brush off periodically as a throwback.
