The existing stop blocks (right) are less than 1.5” deep. If you want to use a backer board (to reduce tear out or because the offcut piece is small) and grabbed a 2x4 scrap, the stops weren’t deep enough. So I made another one, about 2.5” deep, and I’ll add a 4” one when I get the necessary bolt (left).
