New sharpening jigs have arrived!
There’s two additional Vari-Grind jigs. One for Asmbly bowl gouges and the other for Asmbly Spindle Detail gouges. They are welded in place and will never change. Pair these with the appropriate, handy spacer blocks to correctly space the jig from the wheel. All of these are in the top drawer of the lathe cabinet.
The original Vari-Grind jig is still free form for any of the weird stuff folks might like.
At this time, the current bowl gouges and spindle detail gouges have not been resharpened on these jigs. Next time you do it may take a moment to correct the inconsistent grind. Bring a cup of water, don’t let the metal temper. Use the left wheel get it into shape quicker.
