Hey this looks pretty simple and curious if anyone who knows how to weld at Asmbly would be able to help patch a hole in my truck bed? I bought a 71 F250 back in April to help with my Record Cabinet business and want to get a spray-in bedliner at some point! There’s ~ a 1” hole in the bed that I’m hoping someone can help patch before I do this? I think an 1 1/2” by 3” long plate of any thickness could work, maybe 3/16” min depending on weld size? Do we already have scrap like this in the metal shop? If not I could find something that’ll work at Home Depot, I don’t mind if it’s installed on top of the bed in between the groves, but it would be even more slick if it were a backer plate from underneath. Doesn’t need to be pretty bedliner will cover it. Let me know if anyone would be interested in helping out? Willing to find the patch material and doesn’t seem like it would take too long, willing to pay something reasonable too. Thanks!
