I probably could have fixed this myself but if “I think I can fix that” I don’t.

This might be one of those quick fixes where the transparent acrylic that shows the measurement can be adjusted rather than the whole fence or the tape.

I believe so. On that note: the clear plastic part may need replacing soon or should be swapped with a different one; the line is wearing off and doesn’t overlay the tape measure anymore.
