The spindle sander is still reg tagged. We are still waiting on some final parts.

Hi Al, Robert told me that you are handling the repairs on the spindle sander. I was wondering if there’s an update on the repair status. I am working on a project that requires use of the spindle sander and am just trying to figure out timing. Thanks in advance for any information you might have.

Best,

Stefan

We’re waiting on parts. I don’t know what the ETA is. Adding @Rolo for that. There was a plastic cap ordered, do we have any ETA for that? IIRC, it was listed as “in-stock” on the website.

Seems there’s a problem ordering from Renovo Parts

I ordered these but I received an order canceled email last week; snuck in by new years. I can’t seem to order this again from this website.

I’m looking around now.

I put a new order in from eReplacementParts.com. Shipping is up to two weeks since this is not kept in stock.

Another place I looked also did not keep this one in stock. I’m guessing this is the deal with Renovo parts as well.

I have 3d printed a temporary part, and the spindle sander is now good to go.

If you don’t see this (currently orange) cover present, please submit a problem report and red tag the machine. This is a cover which protects the bearing from fine dust. It may be another color in the future once we receive the factory replacement part. This cover was missing, which I believe lead to the bearing failure, which caused the fire due the heat and sparks in combination with the fine dust.

Excellent Al and thank you for the update on this.

best,

Stefan
