Is this the same issue as last summer ? Worm gear forced and broken ?

I can’t speak to what happened last year, but I can confirm that the cast aluminum guide bracket is broken (pictured in your photo).

The worm screw also seems to be bent.

JD got the parts numbers for me and I put the order in. Unfortunately the guide bracket is on back order.

Someone has finished work on this and called it done.
